Your Success In 2022 Begins Now…
This is the time of year when most people start coasting through the holiday season.
I’ve heard it many times…
“I’m going to get through the holidays and then get serious about…my health, growing my business, getting the house in order, etc.
One night, a man in his sixties passed away in the night. He awoke to find himself sitting at the gates of Heaven.
He was warmly greeted by an angel who appeared to be his tour guide. They walked together for awhile and then entered a tall building.
I’ve been a self-employed business owner for 26 years and have coached hundreds of other business owners. Glamorous is not the word I’d use to describe the job. Being the person in charge is full of unexpected challenges and pressures. Although it’s nice not having someone else telling you what to do, that can also be a drawback. You have to come up with all the ideas, make all the decisions, put them all into action, and nobody is paving the way or motivating you onward.
In one of my previous emails, I suggested reaching out to trusted mentors for advice on how to properly prepare for the next several months.
I took my own advice and reached out to Dr. Denis Waitley. He is a retired Navy fighter pilot who then became a leading authority on the topic of peak performance and mental toughness.
Are you focused on the outcome you want? Or does your internal communication emphasize what you’re wanting to avoid?
These an important questions because whatever you focus on, you move towards!
You are the boss of yourself. You decide when you get up, when you go to sleep, and what you do in between that time. Sure, you have responsibilities, chores, and expectations from others to deliver upon. Yet, what you focus on and how you behave are up to you.

My friend, Randy Gage, wrote another powerful article that challenges those who blame their lack of prosperity on anything else but their own actions.
