You are the boss of yourself. You decide when you get up, when you go to sleep, and what you do in between that time. Sure, you have responsibilities, chores, and expectations from others to deliver upon. Yet, what you focus on and how you behave are up to you.

“ARE YOU A GOOD BOSS?”
Answer the following questions and find out!

1) Do you regularly remind your employee of the desired outcomes and prioritized action steps to attain said outcome?

2) Do you offer words of encouragement and support along the way?

3) Do you recommend investing in personal development programming?

4) Are you connecting this employee with others who share a positive attitude and/or similar goal?

5) Are you holding your employee accountable for meeting commitments and following through on action plans?

Remember, in this scenario, you are the boss AND the employee. I’ve been my own boss for 25 years. At varying points in my career, I’ve been both a good and bad boss. I push myself hard and force myself to show up and deliver, even when I don’t feel like it.

I work long hours, sometimes for little or no pay, and no matter how many projects get accomplished, there are always more lined up. Yet, my work is meaningful and I know the value it provides to others.  This makes the sacrifices worthwhile and I’m proud of the boss I’ve become.

Are you able to say the same? If so, nice job!

If not, let’s do something about it.

My summer Mesmerizing Leadership program just ended and the fall class is going to begin on September 10th.

The class was originally designed for Fire Chiefs to support them during the worldwide pandemic. Yet, the extraordinary leadership and influential communication strategies are universal and apply to anyone who wishes to have a bigger impact in the world!

Since this was for the Fire Fighting industry, I also priced the 3-Month online live coaching program at only $300. I’m opening enrollment to everyone, regardless of your title (or lack of) and keeping the low price in tact.

If you’d like to enroll, please visit https://www.survivingtothriving.me/class

Until then, think about how you can improve on the five questions above that measure your success as a boss, and leader. The greater your vision, leadership, and accountability skills are, the more successful you will be as a boss!
